CMU – Faculty of Engineering with Erasmus+ universities to host a workshop on “Wind Turbine Maintenance”
The Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, in collaboration with a network of Erasmus+, organized a workshop on “Wind Turbine Maintenance.” The event was presided over by Associate Professor Dr. Watchapon Rojanaratanangkule, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, on 1 December 2025 at 13.00 hrs. at the Co-Working Space, 2nd Floor, E-SIE Hub, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University.
The workshop was held during 1–2 December 2025, aims to enhance the development of wind energy maintenance practices in Thailand and Vietnam. Associate Professor Dr. Woradej Manosroi, a faculty member of the Department of Mechanical Engineering, is a recipient of an Erasmus+ grant from the European Union (EU) under the project “Enhancing Capacity in Condition-based Maintenance of Wind Energy (ECO-WIND).” Researchers and experts from Thailand, Norway, Estonia, and Vietnam participated in the exchange of research knowledge, wind turbine technology, and curriculum development. The workshop also served as a platform to expand university–industry collaboration across multiple countries, supporting advancements in clean energy research, innovation, and human resource development.
