CMU Engineering Welcome Delegation from Tsinghua University, People’s Republic of China

The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, together with Associate Professor Dr. Ukrit Mankong, Associate Dean, warmly welcomed a delegation from Shenzhen International Graduate School, Tsinghua University, People’s Republic of China.
The delegation was led by Prof. Hongyan Fu, an expert in Integrated Photonics and Their Applications for Communications and Sensing, accompanied by 6 graduate students at the master’s and doctoral levels. The visit took place on 23 June 2026 at Gear Room 201, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University.
The purpose of the visit was to discuss potential academic collaboration, including the development of graduate-level programs, the promotion of academic and research exchanges, and the establishment of
a strong and sustainable collaborative network between the two institutions.
This collaboration reflects the Faculty of Engineering’s commitment to producing high-quality engineers and graduates who meet international standards. Through practical experience, cross-cultural learning, and the advancement of internationalization, the faculty aims to prepare its students to become
key contributors to the global technology and innovation industries.
