On Wednesday, 27 May 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, welcomed
a delegation of faculty members, staff, and students from the University of South Carolina (USC), USA, led by Professor Dr. Sirivatch Shimpalee, on the occasion of their visit to Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University.

During the visit, Assistant Professor Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, Vice Dean and Director of Chiang Mai International Engineering School, delivered welcoming remarks and introduced an overview of the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University.

In addition, USC students visited and participated in workshops organized by the Department of Mechanical Engineering, the Department of Civil Engineering, and the Department of Environmental Engineering. Representatives from each department provided information on academic programs, teaching and learning activities, as well as opportunities for future exchange programs, internships, and collaborative research.

In the past, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, welcomed students from the University of South Carolina to participate in exchange programs at the faculty. This has contributed to promoting an international atmosphere and providing students with opportunities to exchange academic knowledge and cultural experiences.

This visit marks another important activity in strengthening the cordial relationship between the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, and the University of South Carolina. It also serves as an opportunity to further develop concrete collaboration in education, research, internships, and student exchange in the future.
