The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, along with Associate Professor Dr. Pradthana Jaipong, Director of the Office of Educational Quality Development, Assistant Professor Dr. Faifan Tantakitti, Assistant to the Dean and Deputy Director of the Chiang Mai International Engineering School (CM-IES), Ms. Usanee Pongsawaleesri, Head of CM-IES, and relevant staff members, participated in an academic collaboration meeting with senior executives from Curtin University, including Professor Mark Ogden (Deputy Vice-Chancellor, Academic), Professor Chris Rawson (Pro Vice-Chancellor, Faculty of Science and Engineering), and Emeritus Professor Kevin Fynn from the Faculty of Science and Engineering.

The discussion focused on fostering value-added experiences and strengthening long-term academic relationships through key initiatives, which include: organizing Summer Sessions for 10–20 CMU students lasting 4 weeks (from April to mid-June) focusing on exploration, communication skills, project management, and the innovation process; conducting Professor Exchange activities 1–2 times per year; welcoming Curtin University students for exchange programs at CMU during Curtin’s break periods (mid-June to early July, and December to January); and expanding academic pathways through linked programs such as the ISCE Bachelor to Master Pathway, double degree programs in Electrical Engineering (EE) and Engineering Project Management (MEPM), as well as pathways toward business management and entrepreneurship.

This collaboration marks another significant milestone for the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, in elevating educational standards, building international networks, and providing seamless educational opportunities for students.
