The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University join the welcoming The University of Texas at Austin on UT Austin – CMU Maymester in Global Health Technology Innovation Program

On May 11, 2026, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Navadon Khunlertgit, Head of the Department of Computer Engineering, and
Assoc. Prof. Dr. Sansanee Auephanwiriyakul, lecturer of the Department of Computer Engineering, welcomed visitors from The University of Texas at Austin, United States of America, under the UT Austin – CMU Maymester Program on the topic “Global Health Technology Innovation Program,” held from May 8 to June 3, 2026.
The program focuses on the development of innovative health technology solutions through user-centered design and practical applications, incorporating feedback from medical personnel to ensure that the developed technologies effectively address real-world healthcare challenges.
In addition, the program provides opportunities for fourth-year and graduate students from Chiang Mai University to participate in collaborative learning and project-based activities with international students and multidisciplinary professionals. The program aims to enhance students’ international working experience, intercultural communication, and interdisciplinary collaboration skills, ultimately strengthening their potential to compete on the global stage. Ms. Buachompoo Rerksuitthirat, Student ID 660610768, a fourth-year student from the Department of Computer Engineering, participated in the program.
