ENG CMU, participates in the Reception of the President of Dong-A University on the Signing Ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement on Student Exchange to Strengthen International Academic Collaboration between Chiang Mai University and Dong-A University

Associate Professor Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, Vice Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, participated in the official reception of Dr. Hae Woo Lee, President of Dong-A University, Republic of Korea, and his delegation, on the occasion of their visit to Chiang Mai University and the signing ceremony of the Memorandum of Agreement (MOA) on Student Exchange. The ceremony was held on Wednesday, 4 February 2026, at the Office of the University, Chiang Mai University.

The Memorandum of Agreement aims to establish a formal framework for collaboration in student exchange at both undergraduate and graduate levels, as well as to promote cooperation in joint research, faculty exchange, and international academic activities. This partnership is expected to enhance the quality of education and research within the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, while expanding international academic opportunities and global engagement for students and academic staff of both institutions.

On this occasion, the Faculty of Engineering also engaged in discussions regarding the initiation of student and staff exchange programs, as well as the potential development of internship and cooperative education opportunities at Dong-A University, thereby fostering sustainable academic collaboration and international learning experiences in the long term.
