Engineering CMU × National Taiwan University: Advancing Global Research Collaboration
On December 26, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, led by Assistant Professor Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, Vice Dean, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Chatchawan Chaichana, Vice Dean, welcomed a delegation from National Taiwan University, Taiwan. The delegation comprised 2 distinguished representatives:
- Prof. Kung-Yen Lee, Professor, Department of Engineering Science and Ocean Engineering, National Taiwan University
- Prof. Cha-Lin Liu, Vice President for Academic Affairs, National Taiwan University of Art
The discussion focused on potential academic and research collaboration in key areas, including semiconductor technology, carbon leakage detection devices in the ocean, and wind turbine technology. Faculty members, staff, and students participated in the exchange of ideas, including:
- Associate Professor Dr. Damrongsak Rinchumphu, Head of the Urban Intelligence Research Group
- Assistant Professor Dr. Chakkapong Chamroon, Program Director of the Robotics and Artificial Intelligence Engineering Program
- Ms. Usanee Pongsawaleesri, Head of the Chiang Mai International Engineering School
