On December 18th, 2025, The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University welcomed a delegation from Dalian University of Technology (DUT), People’s Republic of China, a leading university in engineering and technology, to discuss academic cooperation and student exchange opportunities. The meeting will be attended by faculty executives and academic staff from the Faculty of Engineering.

Dalian University of Technology is a comprehensive university with strong expertise in engineering and technology, aligning closely with the mission and development direction of the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University. The two institutions have maintained a positive academic partnership and have signed a university-level cooperation agreement as well as a student exchange agreement since 2021. However, there remains significant potential to further expand collaboration, particularly in student exchange programs and joint research initiatives.

The purpose of this meeting is to exchange information on engineering programs, including presentations through videos and academic briefings on English-taught programs, with particular emphasis on the Intelligent Construction program. Discussions will also focus on the feasibility of student exchange programs, short-term visits, and research collaboration, as well as a visit to the Department of Civil Engineering and its laboratories.
