On 14 November 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, represented by Assistant Professor Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, Associate Dean and Director of the Chiang Mai International Engineering School (CM-IES), together with Ms. Usanee Pongsawaleesri, Head of the CM-IES Office, warmly welcomed distinguished guests from Qinghai Province, People’s Republic of China.

The delegation was led by Mr. Yang Zhiwen, Vice Governor of Qinghai Province, along with presidents from Qinghai Institute of Technology and Qinghai Vocational and Technical University. The meeting took place at the M.L. Pin Malakul Reception Room, University Office Building 1, on the occasion of their courtesy visit to Chiang Mai University’s executive leadership.

Both parties engaged in discussions to explore opportunities for academic collaboration between institutions in Qinghai Province and Chiang Mai University, with a particular focus on railway system technology. The delegation also visited the laboratories of the Advanced Railway Civil and Foundation Engineering Center (CMU-RailCFC) at the Department of Civil Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University.
