From January 7 to February 27, 2026, graduate students from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University (CMU) participated in an academic visit and knowledge exchange at the Department of Engineering Sciences, University of Agder, Norway. Mr. Thanakrit Maneerat, Ph.D. student in Energy Engineering Mr. Nitthinun Borirak, Ph.D. student in Mechanical Engineering Ms. Bernadetha Grace Wisdayanti and Ms. Zulfa Hana Maulida, Master’s student in Agricultural Engineering The students were supervised by Associate Professor Dr. Woradej Manosroi, Coordinator of the ECO-Wind Project. The visit aimed to foster academic collaboration and research cooperation between the two institutions through study visits, knowledge exchange, and discussions on organizing workshops related to wind turbine maintenance. The activities also focused on enhancing expertise in the field of wind energy, particularly through the application of digital technologies for condition-based maintenance of wind turbines and related components.

The ECO-Wind Project aims to promote and enhance the utilization of wind energy in Southeast Asia by strengthening capabilities in wind turbine maintenance and facilitating the transfer of modern technologies. The project is supported by funding from the Erasmus+.
