Four faculty members from the Department of Mechanical Engineering, Faculty of Engineering at Chiang Mai University (CMU)—Assoc. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Woradej Manosroi, Asst. Prof. Dr.-Ing. Arpiruk Hokpunna, Asst. Prof. Dr. Faifan Tantakitti, and Asst. Prof. Dr. Napassawan Wongmongkol— visited Quy Nhon University (QNU) in Vietnam. The visit was for their participation in the “Workshop on Challenges in condition based maintenance at windfarms in Vietnam”, which took place from December 8th to 9th, 2025, as part of the European Union-supported ECO-WIND project. During the two-day event, Asst. Prof. Tantakitti and Asst. Prof. Hokpunna delivered an introduction of the Faculty of Engineering and Mechanical Engineering programs at CMU. Beyond the workshop’s core focus on identifying academia-industry gaps and planning for capacity building for wind energy maintenance, the CMU delegation met with QNU counterparts to discuss potential academic and research collaborations and visited QNU’s Automotive Practice Center. This collaborative visit underlines CMU’s commitment to advancing regional partnerships and contributing to the development of sustainable energy and engineering education in Southeast Asia
