Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University Welcomed Delegations from Faculty of Science and Engineering, Saga University
On October 27, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University (CMU) had the pleasure of welcoming delegates from the Faculty of Science and Engineering, Saga University, Japan, for a courtesy visit aimed at strengthening academic collaboration between the two institutions.
During the visit, discussions focused on expanding the partnership through a potential Sandwich Program involving both faculties, following the existing memorandum of understanding previously established between Saga University and CMU’s Faculty of Architecture. The delegation expressed their intention to enhance academic exchange opportunities, particularly at the master’s and doctoral levels.
The visiting group also included six students from Saga University, who are members of the “STEPs” international activity group within their faculty. Their participation aimed to broaden their understanding of educational and cultural differences between Japanese and overseas universities. The visit also provided opportunities for informal interaction and exchanges with CMU students.
This visit further reinforces the long-standing academic relationship between Saga University and Chiang Mai University, paving the way for deeper collaboration in research and student mobility in the years ahead.
