Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University Welcomes Delegation from Duy Tan University, Vietnam

On August 20, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University (CMU), led by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, together with Asst. Prof. Dr. Korrakot Yaibuathet Tippayawong, Vice Dean and Director of the Chiang Mai International Engineering School, and Assoc. Prof. Dr. Pana Suttakul, Assistant Dean, warmly welcomed a five-member delegation from Duy Tan University, Vietnam, at Meeting Room Gear 202.
The visiting delegation comprised:
1. Prof. Tinh Quoc Bui, Director of the Duy Tan Research Institute for Computational Engineering (DTRICE)

3. Dr. Nguyen Ngoc Minh, Lecturer
4. Dr. Vuong Dinh Chanh, Lecturer
5. Mr. Huu Trong Ngo, Ph.D. Student from SIIT) Thammasat University
The primary purpose of this visit was to participate in the “DTRICE – Chiang Mai Workshop on Computational & Experimental Engineering and Sciences (WCEES)” held at the Department of Mechanical Engineering, and to discuss future academic collaborations. The discussions focused on promoting academic and research exchanges, as well as establishing a robust, long-term collaborative network between the two institutions.
This collaboration reflects the Faculty of Engineering’s commitment to nurturing globally competent engineers through real-world experience and cross-cultural learning. It also underscores the faculty’s ongoing efforts to enhance its internationalization and empower students to become key drivers in the global technology and innovation sectors.
