Engineering CMU Visited IMCH in Germany to Advance Academic and Research Collaboration
From July 27 to 28, 2026, a delegation from the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, visited the Innovation Hub for Musculoskeletal Surgery Halle (Innovationshub Muskuloskelettale Chirurgie Halle: IMCH) at BG Hospital Bergmannstrost Halle, Universitätsmedizin Halle, Federal Republic of Germany. The visit aimed to explore opportunities and establish future academic and research collaboration between the two institutions.
The key areas of discussion included research collaboration, student internship programs, and academic exchange programs.
The delegation from the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, comprised:
1. Associate Professor Dr. Pana Suttakul, Assistant Dean
2. Assistant Professor Dr. Rattapol Pinnaratip, Lecturer, Department of Industrial Engineering
3. Dr. Nad Siroros, Lecturer, Department of Mechanical Engineering
The delegation was warmly welcomed by Priv.-Doz. Dr.-Ing. Dr. rer. medic. Jörg Eschweiler, Head of Research and Laboratory, together with IMCH researchers and graduate students.
On July 27, 2026, the delegation participated in an IMCH laboratory showcase, attended a presentation introducing IMCH’s research activities, and delivered a presentation on the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University. On July 28, 2026, representatives from both institutions held discussions and jointly developed a framework for future collaboration.
This visit marks an important step for the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, in expanding its international network of collaboration with leading research institutes and universities. The partnership is expected not only to contribute to the development of advanced technological innovations, but also to create valuable opportunities for students and researchers to strengthen their capabilities and achieve sustainable growth at the international level.
