Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University and Chang Gung University Cement Academic and Research Cooperation in Taiwan

TAOYUAN, TAIWAN – Cementing strong academic ties between Thailand and Taiwan, delegates from the Faculty of Engineering and the Department of Electrical Engineering at Chiang Mai University (CMU) recently visited Chang Gung University (CGU) on May 26, 2026. The delegation, featuring Assoc. Prof. Ukrit Mankong and Assoc. Prof. Doldet Tantraviwat, met with representatives from CGU’s Department of Electrical Engineering and Department of Electronics to strategically discuss the next phase in their academic and research cooperation.
The partnership between the two institutions has already demonstrated significant success. To date, CGU has hosted more than 30 CMU students participating in a combined bachelor’s and master’s program. This cross-border educational initiative is notably backed by leading technological industries, including Delta Electronics, bridging the gap between academia and real-world industry demands.
To further strengthen these ties, both institutes have formally agreed to a sustainable, long-term collaboration encompassing joint research initiatives as well as robust graduate and undergraduate studies.
This ongoing partnership not only elevates the educational standards of both universities but also establishes a sustainable framework for international academic and industrial advancement.
