Representatives from the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University: Associate Professor Dr. Chompoonoot Kasemset,<\/strong> Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering and Dr. Atchariya Puangyod<\/strong>, Lecturer in the Department of Electrical Engineering, represented Chiang Mai University in the 2026 INTENSE Program Visit, <\/strong>held in Taiwan from 27 July to 1 August 2026. The program was organized by the International Talent Circulation Base (INTACT Base), Taiwan and National Pingtung University of Science and Technology (NPUST).<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The program aimed to strengthen academic collaboration while expanding employment opportunities for students. Key areas of focus included the development of dual-degree programs and academic partnerships in STEM, Semiconductors and Banking\/Finance, as well as strengthening connections between universities and Taiwan\u2019s industrial sector through the INTENSE Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the visit, the CMU representatives had the opportunity to visit and exchange ideas on future collaboration with leading Taiwanese institutions, including National Cheng Kung University, Chaoyang University of Technology, and National Tsing Hua University. They also participated in industrial visits to gain insights into operational practices, internship systems, and the ecosystem connecting higher education with student employment opportunities. The program also provided opportunities for exchanges among universities participating in the INTENSE Program.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Participation in the program marked another important step in expanding collaboration between the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, Taiwanese academic institutions, and the industrial sector. It also provided valuable perspectives on developing academic programs and educational models that respond to labor market needs, ultimately creating greater opportunities for students in international education, internships and future careers<\/p>\n\n\n\n
