The Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, together with Assistant Professor Dr. Faifan Tantakitti<\/strong>, Assistant Dean; Associate Professor Dr. Watchapon Rojanaratanangkule<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Mechanical Engineering; Associate Professor Dr. Chompoonoot Kasemset<\/strong>, Head of the Department of Industrial Engineering; and staff from the Chiang Mai International Engineering School (CM-IES), warmly welcomed representatives from the Embassy of France in Thailand and ECAM LaSalle, France during their visit to the Faculty of Engineering on 25 June 2026 at Gear Room 201, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The visiting delegation comprised:
1. Dr. Ludovic Andres<\/strong>, Attach\u00e9 for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation, Embassy of France in Thailand
2. Mr. Th\u00e9o DULAC<\/strong>, Officer for Scientific and Higher Education Cooperation, Embassy of France in Thailand
3. Mr. Yosawat Imcharoenchai<\/strong>, Director of ECAM LaSalle Asia Pacific Co., Ltd. and Representative of ECAM LaSalle, France<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The purpose of the visit was to introduce the Embassy of France’s role and initiatives in promoting scientific and higher education cooperation, as well as to provide information on scholarship and research funding opportunities available through Campus France. The meeting also served as a platform to exchange ideas on strengthening future academic and research collaborations between the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, and French universities and research institutions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

During the session, the delegation introduced several key scholarship and funding programs, including the Franco-Thai Scholarship Program, Franco-Thai Young Talent Program, and PHC SIAM Program. These initiatives aim to support student, researcher, and faculty exchanges, while fostering joint research collaboration between Thailand and France. The programs will provide valuable opportunities for students and staff of the Faculty of Engineering to pursue further studies, participate in international exchange programs, and conduct collaborative research with leading institutions in France<\/p>\n\n\n\n
