              On April 9, 2026, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, led by Associate Professor Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, together with the executive team and staff, paid an official visit to the School of Mechanics and Engineering Science, Peking University, People\u2019s Republic of China, to discuss and enhance academic collaboration and joint research initiatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      The visit aimed to exchange insights on faculty development and research directions, as well as to explore strategic pathways for future collaboration. Key areas of discussion included the advancement of joint research in advanced engineering fields, particularly Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS), alternative energy, and advanced energy engineering systems. In addition, both institutions discussed academic cooperation in curriculum development, including double degree programs.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      Following the discussions, both parties agreed to further strengthen collaboration through concrete initiatives. including the organization of a Carbon Capture and Storage (CCS) Workshop and the development of joint research projects.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

                      This collaboration serves as a key mechanism for strengthening academic excellence and research capacity between the two institutions, while fostering sustainable advancement of knowledge and innovation at the international level.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
