On Thursday, December 18, 2025, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, held a signing ceremony for a Memorandum of Understanding with the Hub of Talents in AI and Innovation Next at the Gear 201 Meeting Room, Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University. The partnership aims to enhance research capacity, development, and the application of digital technologies and artificial intelligence (AI), generating tangible and sustainable impacts for society.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This collaboration focuses on strengthening the capacity of personnel, researchers, innovators, and students through knowledge, technology, and research exchange. It also promotes joint research activities, national and international academic publications, and the development of platforms or prototype systems that can be practically applied in the public sector, private sector, and local communities.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The MoU was signed by Associate Professor Dr. Thongchai Fongsamootr<\/strong>, Dean of the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, and Associate Professor Dr. Theerayut Horanont<\/strong>, Head of the Hub of Talents in AI and Innovation Next. The signing ceremony was witnessed by Professor Dr. Santi Phithakkitnukoon <\/strong>and Assistant Professor Dr. Navadon Khunlertkit<\/strong>, representatives from the Department of Computer Engineering, as well as Professor Dr. Thanaruk Theeramunkong<\/strong>, researcher and advisor to the
Hub of Talents in AI and Innovation Next. The event was attended by executives and distinguished guests from both institutions in a warm and collaborative atmosphere.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Under this MoU, the Faculty of Engineering, Chiang Mai University, firmly believes that the partnership with the Hub of Talents in AI and Innovation Next will serve as a key driving force in advancing AI research and innovation. The collaboration is expected to lead to the development of practical prototypes, platforms, and solutions that generate positive impacts on communities, industry, and society at large.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In addition, cooperation encompasses joint research and development projects, co-support for innovative incubation activities, such as hackathons, innovation challenges, and project pitching sessions, as well as the exchange of researchers, students, and staff for training or internships. The partnership also includes academic training programs and seminars in both online and onsite formats, which will play an important role in driving the Faculty of Engineering\u2019s strategic goals in a concrete and sustainable manner.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
